Last year we didn’t use our lights from Good Friday until Easter morning. As the sun set, our house grew darker. The lack of lights reminded us that Christ, our Light, had gone out of the world. We lit candles and stumbled around in the dark at night, which turned out to be an excellent reminder of how we would stumble through life without our Risen Savior. And then on Resurrection Sunday, the lights return, because our Light has overcome death. This is such a memorable time for the kids also, so I wanted to put it out there in case others were interested. Get your candles ready!
