Sweet N's 13th Birthday Party

In the lead up to Sweet N's 13th Birthday, she had quite a lot of ideas on her wish list. Her brother helped her to write some of them down one evening...

They cracked me up the night H wrote those scraps of paper. Oh the laughter and wonderful sibling teasing/love!

And another wish list she worked on... Ha! Reading through this now makes me chuckle. It's so fun!

Despite her many ideas... this was the invitation we came up with. The plan became a 4 course served dinner  party for mostly Moms and daughters who love our girlie! Since her birthday is around Christmastime, a wintery snowflake theme was decided upon. And blue. Blue is so nice.

There was a lot of meal planning and prep. The day of was for decorating and finishing the food. The three boys would warm, plate and serve.

She worked on napkin rings and Mama began laying the tablescape. One of my favorite things to do.

When it got dark and all the candles were lit it was so beautiful!

What a special group of friends we have! Everyone we invited said yes to come and celebrate our 13 year old!

The food plating and serving was done VERY well. What a joy!

After a delicious four courses, we played Pictionary and Guesstures. No one really wanted to go. There was so much laughter and friendship.

We put together some nice little gift bags and Sweet N painted and decorated each custom bag.

The special night could not have been more wonderful. What a joy to celebrate this beautiful teenager God has given us. How we love watching her grow into a young woman. How we love her!
