The final destination of the 80% good, 20% torturous traveling experience was Charlotte, North Carolina!
This is the home of the Panthers, year-round great weather, some awfully confusing roads and lots of gorgeous tree-lined streets.
But I couldn't care less about all of those things. Because Charlotte is the home of my sister, my brother-in-law and my only nephew!!!
See? Isn't he so handsome? And tall! Look at that boy dunk it!
And here he is with his Mommy! Aren't they beautiful?
The three cousins are very nearly 1, 2 and 3 years of age. It made for a busy household. Busy may actually be an understatement.
Busy, but cute! Look at the three of them in the bathtub!
The weather was great and H loved to play outside. Please note the fall leaves in the background.
Crunch crunch crunch.
This is how the early morning was spent. We had one boy who regularly wakes around 5:30am. And another boy who was suffering from jetlag. Put those two little boys together along with two very tired Mommies who would rather not get up two hours before the sun and what do you get?
Cartoons and Sesame Street.
That is what you get.
And you get these early morning shows every day, cause that is the only way to keep your sanity.
This one, on the other hand, had no trouble sleeping a normal schedule in the laundry room with the loud fan making white noise. She slept like a doll and loved playing with all of her big cuz's new and interesting toys.
After the weekend Grammi came to join us! The kiddos were watching for her out of the front window. I promise this wasn't staged at all...
;)
With two extra hands now available and willing... we visited a local Kid's Nature Museum.
We enjoyed a fun water table,
great slides,
a cute bug and lots of other kid friendly fun nature-y type things!
Oh yeah... and we also saw one baby girl puke up her entire bottle on Grammi in the butterfly pavilion. Then all she had to wear was big brother's sweatshirt.
Oops.
We finished with a picnic on the wet porch covered with leaves and 'honey-dates with hats'. My son was a big confused by all the new terms. He meant to say acorns.
:)
We had a wonderful time!
